red wine & honey onions

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large Red Onion, julienned

  • 2 1/2 cups Red Wine

  • 1/4 cup Honey

  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Slice the red onion and place it into a sauce pot.

  2. Pour red wine over red onions and reduce wine down until almost gone. Add salt and turn off heat.

  3. Stir in honey and let onions cool or use immediately.

These onions are incredible with so many different things! Use them as a salad or pizza topping, put them on a cheese board as an accompaniment, eat them with scrambled eggs, and SO MANY more ways.
